Meet SKY, a beautiful and very rare antique Kestner 129 bisque doll. 💙
The 129 is one of the earlier Kestner molds and is not commonly found, especially in this lovely 18-inch cabinet size. We named her Sky because of her extraordinary bright blue eyes and the soft blue-and-white antique-inspired ensemble created especially for her.
She is a wonderful example with a beautiful bisque head, expressive painted features, working sleep eyes, an excellent original composition body, and a carefully assembled period-style wardrobe.

Original Body
Sky is on a beautiful antique jointed composition body that is well strung and holds poses nicely.
The body retains much of its original finish and varnish and is marked:

The original red painted accents are still visible on the fingers and toes, which is a lovely detail to find on an antique doll.
As expected for her age, the composition body shows normal antique wear, small marks, finish imperfections and age-related surface wear. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.

Her beautiful dress was handmade in our iCukla workshop especially for her from linen fabric and decorated with antique lace.
We also created her matching bonnet in soft white and sky-blue tones using silk, lace, ribbons and antique-inspired details. The entire ensemble was designed to complement her wonderful blue eyes and early Kestner character.
Condition Notes
Sky is in beautiful antique condition.
Her bisque head has no cracks or chips. Her sleep eyes work, and her body is well strung and retains its attractive original finish.
Please remember that she is an antique doll more than a century old. Natural signs of age, minor scratches, paint wear, surface marks and imperfections are expected and are part of her history and charm.
