21" Antique Schoenau & Hoffmeister Bisque Doll | S PB H 5600 | Sleep Eyes
This beautiful antique German doll by Schoenau & Hoffmeister has a sweet, gentle expression and a wonderful antique presence. She is marked with the S PB H star mark, which identifies Schoenau & Hoffmeister / Porzellanfabrik Burggrub. The head also appears to be marked 5600 and 5.
She has beautiful brown glass sleep eyes with a working eye mechanism, softly painted features, and a lovely vintage wig styled in an elegant feminine hairstyle. She is dressed in a charming antique-inspired outfit. Her dress and bonnet were sewn in our workshop using an antique pattern, while her vintage chemise, pantaloons, tights, and patent leather shoes complete the look beautifully. 🤍

Condition NotesThis doll is in lovely antique condition for her age. The bisque head has no cracks or chips. There are two tiny porcelain firing imperfections on the face from the original manufacturing process — please see photos. These are not cracks.
She has her original factory composition body, original to this doll, with its original lacquer finish still present. The body is well strung and displays nicely. I do not see any signs of body repair. There is a small area of lacquer wear near the neck, appropriate for an antique doll of this age. The original red accents on the fingers are still beautifully preserved.
The sleep eye mechanism works. The doll wears a vintage wig arranged in a beautiful feminine hairstyle. The head also shows normal age-related wear around the head opening/rim and other typical signs of age. Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
As with all antique dolls, minor wear, marks, finish wear, and age-related imperfections should be expected.
